September 18, 2019: Check out the newly-posted announcement at that our sister film will be screening at an event in Berlin next month celebrating Mexican superheroes. The announcement says that it will be an enhanced remastered print to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its European premiere. Check back here regularly in case an announcement is made about a remastered screening of AoD!

March 23rd, 2019: On the final night of Lucharama-2019 Jeffrey Uhlmann announced that the films Academy of Doom and Aztec Revenge will be released worldwide in free online form sometime during the week following the event.

Summer 2017: Andre Dubois of the Fantasia International Film Festival announced at a press conference that Mil Mascaras will receive a lifetime achievement award prior to a screening of Aztec Revenge at this year's festival. This is the third Mil Mascaras film to have its Canadian premiere at the festival. At the event, Mil Mascaras was surprised when his friend, writer-producer Jeffrey Uhlmann, was brought on stage to present him with the beautiful Fantasia Trophy.

Fall 2015: Aztec Revenge has been selected by the prestigious Oscar-qualifying St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF), which will host the North American premiere of the film on the evening of Saturday, November 7th.

Winter 2015: Tritium Productions announces that AoD's sister film, Aztec Revenge, will premiere in Madrid, Spain, at CUTRECON IV (Festival Internacional de Cine Cutre de Madrid) on February 1st, 2015.

SUMMER 2012 - Academy of Doom was invited to open the final evening of the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec. AoD has screened at festivals around the world over the last five years, but this was its Canadian premiere. Fantasia is among the coolest festivals anywhere, so this was a fitting event to mark the end of AoD's festival run and to announce its official release on DVD (click here to purchase).

SPRING 2012 - A pre-release DVD of the film is reviewed for the Classic Horror Films Board Forums.
